Live Like Katie

What is "Live Like Katie"?   We started the Live Like Katie Foundation in 2012 to honor an amazing wife, Mother and friend - Katie O'Brien Vogg.   Katie passed from a rare cancer called cholangiocarcinoma, or Bile Duct Cancer.  In her shortened life of 45 years she showed us how to be selfless, generous, kind, empathetic, responsible, loving and fun - regardless of what life throws at us.  Her sudden passing was the reminder to us that her legacy of how to live can be a model for us all to follow.  Thus, Live Like Katie.   

Our Live Like Katie Foundation (LLK) is a charity organization dedicated to raising funds and awareness for The University of Chicago Cancer Center, which is where Katie was treated.  It may seem odd that the institution that did all they could to save Katie, but ultimately couldn't, would be where we want to focus our charitable efforts.   Nothing could be further from the truth.  It is at The University of Chicago Comprehensive Cancer Center that we will find the Answers to Cancer, so that others may be able to live longer, to Live Like Katie.
